Specialised state agency for the protection of children's rights in Bulgaria. Coordinates national child-protection policy and enforcement.
Designated as a national fundamental-rights authority under Article 77 of the EU AI Act for high-risk AI systems by Council of Ministers Decision No 398 of 18 June 2025, with particular relevance to AI affecting minors.

Per the Bulgaria AI Note (Irena Koleva, April 2026), the proposed national AI Bill places strict limits on the processing of children’s data in AI training and deployment. The Agency sits within the Article 77 fundamental-rights network and is positioned to act on AI-related complaints affecting minors.
