Per the Bulgaria AI Note (Irena Koleva, April 2026), the Ministry of Justice was among several public authorities that submitted formal opinions on the proposed national AI Bill, including on its provisions restricting the use of AI in judicial decision-making. The Bill was not approved by the leading parliamentary committee and is likely to face rejection or substantial revision.
